DescriptionTEKsystems is actively seeking a hands on field technician to support Metro Transit Authority (MTA) buses across theNashville area, specifically focusing on onboard IP camera and DVR/NVR systems. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and flexibility to support a night-shift schedule. This role is ideal for someone with a low-voltage or IT networking experience who enjoys independent, field-based work.
Key Responsibilities:- Support onboard camera systems installed on MTA buses
- Coordinate with MTA schedulers to identify buses out of service and plan repair times
- Perform repairs including:
- Hardware issues
- Connectivity issues
- Static IP and network-related issues
- Power-related troubleshooting
- Diagnose issues upon arrival and perform necessary repairs
- Handle RMA processes for faulty hardware:
- Box and ship defective equipment to the manufacturer
- Order replacement cameras
- Install new equipment upon receipt (delivered to home or MTA station)
- Document work, upload photos, manage RMAs, and schedule repairs using a TEKsystems-provided laptop
Work Schedule:- Primary hours: 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM, 40 hours per week
- Occasional daytime work if buses are available
- Possible weekend work if monthly repair targets fall behind
- 4-week training period before working independently

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
