Summary

Role : Oracle Banner Consultant
Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Occasional Travel)
Duration : Long term

Functionally,

Understands how payment plans work in Banner (may be implemented as “loans”)
Understands implications of multi-service collections process (e.g., application of partial payment across aging of services)
Ideally, understands the nuances of Banner vs. other leading CISs in the market: especially Oracle

Technically,

Understands what it to modify Banner to make a change to that
Understands how to interface with an external system and a sustainable API to modify the payment plan set up: e.g., “add another bill to an existing”
Understands what it takes to make sure Banner and an external application are kept in sync: so if a payment is made through Banner, notifying the external app.

Interpersonally,

Professional consulting skills: able to work with client business stakeholders and developers to help them make the right decisions, and provide guidance to client developers if we don’t have hands on coding responsibility.
