JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, the Draftsman II uses CAD software to support Engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. This role maintains and documents drawing changes, assists with drawing database organization, and supports Engineering standards and documentation.
Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, with correctness prioritized over speed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Produce 2D drawings and 3D solid models using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks with minimal supervision
* Create and revise sales, manufacturing, and tooling drawings using redlines, emails, and verbal direction from Engineers
* Interpret and apply GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) to ensure accurate communication of design intent
* Check drawing dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and relationships to assemblies
* Communicate drawing issues or concerns to Engineers for resolution
* Draft detailed multi-view technical drawings with appropriate direction
* Draft Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs)
* Maintain and update Drafting and Engineering Standards databases
* Organize and maintain electronic and hardcopy drawing files
* Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams
* Measure parts using standard manufacturing tools (calipers, micrometers)
* Follow all Client safety, quality, and workplace standards
* Work independently, manage priorities, and maintain high accuracy
* Perform other duties as assigned
