About the RoleWe are seeking an
Artifact Management & DevOps Engineer to support the administration, onboarding, and operational management of enterprise artifact repository platforms. This role will focus on technologies such as JFrog Artifactory, Xray, Distribution/Edge, and CI/CD ecosystem integrations.
You will work closely with development and engineering teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure software build and delivery pipelines.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support enterprise artifact repository platforms (Artifactory or Nexus Pro).
- Lead client onboarding activities including repository setup, permissions, integrations, and best-practice guidance.
- Assist with configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of artifact management tools.
- Support CI/CD workflows and integrate artifact services with tools like Git, Jenkins, and deployment automation tools.
- Develop basic shell or Python scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize REST APIs to support integrations, reporting, and automation.
- Provide troubleshooting and operational support for build pipelines, repository issues, and related platform services.
- Collaborate with DevOps, application development, and infrastructure teams to enhance software delivery capabilities.
Required Qualifications- 2+ years of hands-on experience with JFrog products, including Xray and Distribution/Edge.
- Hands-on experience administering and onboarding clients to Artifactory at enterprise scale or similar experience with Nexus Pro.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git, Subversion, etc.).
- Exposure to CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins/CloudBees, ElectricFlow, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with deployment/automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, BladeLogic, RLM).
- Experience using request/issue management platforms (JIRA, Rally, etc.).
- Basic Linux system administration skills (preferably RHEL).
- Basic shell scripting and Python scripting proficiency.
- Understanding of REST APIs and how to interact with them programmatically.
Desired Skills- Experience with JFrog REST API and JFrog CLI.
- Additional hands-on experience with JFrog Xray and Distribution/Edge.
- Basic database knowledge (Oracle preferred).
- Understanding of distributed/midrange storage solutions.
- Familiarity with OS and application security concepts and controls.
- Experience creating and deploying enterprise-grade Docker container images.
- Development experience with Groovy, Python, or other programming languages.
- Prior experience managing large-scale Jenkins CI/CD platforms.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.24 - $73.68/hr.
