Location: Saint George @ Client Site Location - On site M-F 8-5 hours with flexibility if needed for clients needs/ when commissioning. Should not require travel as they will be commissioning on site with the client
Top Skills Needed: They need experience with commissioning and working with the clients and presenting information. They need skills with Rockwell Studio Logix, Scada Ignition Experience, PLC Experience. They will also need to have HVAC knowledge - this is niche. Osha 10 Certification would be preferred due to the amounts of Electricity. These are also IMPORTANT for screening: It should be proficient in Rockwell PLCs and Studio5000 for PLC is a must
Also able to develop and update Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA projects.
Start Date: ASAP. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and then begin.
Job Description Seeking a skilled engineer to deliver high-quality designs and testing in accordance with project specifications, standards, budgets, and timelines. This role involves providing centralized software support for critical BMS applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team to design, install, commission, and service building automation and facility management systems. Education /
Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
- At least 4 years work experience in Industrial Controls / Automation. It should be proficient in Rockwell PLCs and Studio5000 for PLC is a must
Also able to develop and update Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop control programs for BMS systems using Function Block, scripting, and graphical interfaces. Design user-friendly graphical interfaces for BMS systems.
- Perform on-site startup, system checkout, commissioning, and programming.
- Validate and troubleshoot field devices, controllers, and equipment during point-to-point checkout. Adhere to established software development and documentation standards.
- Clearly communicate project status, challenges, and solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams and contractors to ensure successful commissioning.
- Create simulation software to test and validate project software.
- Deliver training sessions at customer sites or training centers.
- Develop and execute test scripts to verify BMS system performance.
- Support Managed Services by testing and resolving post-turnover issues.
- Assist in beta testing of new hardware/software to assess suitability for customer needs.
- Provision and manage servers or virtual machines to support project needs.
- Develop documentation for hardware/software installation guides.
- Perform QAQC checks on the PLC and SCADA code before initial delivery to the customer. Personal Attributes:
