Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineer III with strong experience in an Architecture & Engineering (A/E) firm.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of professional engineering experience and expertise in commercial building electrical design, power distribution, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Develop electrical designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Design and optimize power distribution, renewable energy, and mission-critical electrical systems.
- Use Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design and construction documentation.
- Perform electrical system analysis, including power quality, reliability, load calculations, and system performance.
- Manage construction administration, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, submittals, and field inspections.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing engineers, project managers, contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Resolve complex electrical design and construction challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Architecture & Engineering (A/E) firm experience required.
- Strong commercial building electrical design experience.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with power distribution systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary building design teams.
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with renewable energy and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Experience with Performance-Based Design.
- Construction administration and field inspection experience.
