Job Description:
Apex Systems is hiring for an IT Data Analyst for a large Healthcare client.

Location: Partial remote - 2 days a week onsite in Hyattsville, MD.

Employment Type: 1 year contract with potential to extend or convert.

Role Overview

This position supports the Finance organization by performing data analysis, reporting, and modeling using large datasets. The ideal candidate brings technical skills in SQL, Python, and visualization tools. This role provides an opportunity to learn healthcare and claims data within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, clean, and analyze data using SQL and Python.
• Support forecasting, trend analysis, and financial reporting efforts.
• Build dashboards and visualizations using Tableau with a willingness to learn Power BI.
• Interpret data and provide insights to stakeholders across finance and operations.
• Work with existing data structures and collaborate with team members.
• Assist with modeling tasks such as forecasting and statistical analysis as needed.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be located in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area and able to work onsite in Hyattsville two days per week, including Wednesdays. Key qualifications include:

Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence. Experience with large datasets or data warehouses is necessary.

Technical Skills: Strong experience with SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to healthcare or claims data.
• Experience with forecasting or statistical modeling.
• Experience working in finance, operations, or regulated industries.
• Ability to learn new data systems and structures quickly.

• Hybrid schedule: Wednesday is required onsite, plus one flexible onsite day.
