Job Title: UX Designer SME

Job Location: San Jose, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $70hr - $75hr

Lead the end-to-end UX and visual design process for a new application.
Define and establish design processes, workflows, and best practices for a new project.
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Design and develop user-friendly UI components and patterns to build a scalable design system.
Create high-fidelity designs, specifications, and style guides with strong attention to detail.
Ensure alignment with modern design principles and established design systems.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define and iterate on solutions.
Incorporate user research and feedback into design improvements.
Present design concepts and decisions clearly to stakeholders.

Requirement/Must Have:

Bachelor s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Visual Design, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in UX, product, or visual design roles.
Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work, including greenfield projects.
Experience defining design processes and building scalable design systems.
Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design principles.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
Experience contributing to or working with design systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead UX strategy and execution for new product development.
Create and maintain design systems and UI component libraries.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality user experiences.
Conduct and incorporate user research into design decisions.
Present and communicate design ideas effectively.
Ensure consistency and usability across the application.

Should Have:

Experience designing enterprise-level or complex applications.
Familiarity with modern design systems and frameworks.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Understanding of web application development constraints and possibilities.

Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Collaboration and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and creativity.
Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in a relevant field required.
Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
