Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Consultant with strong expertise in IBM CL/SuperSession to support a CA TPX to IBM CL/Super Session migration initiative.

The consultant will be responsible for installation, configuration, administration, migration planning, and conversion of TPX profiles, screens, and scripts to CL/SuperSession while ensuring minimal impact on application teams and end users.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support migration from Broadcom CA TPX to IBM CL/Super Session.

Perform installation, configuration, and Initial Verification Process (IVP) of IBM CL/SuperSession.

Convert and migrate TPX profiles, screens, session definitions, and scripts.

Create and maintain user profiles, session definitions, and security configurations.

Administer and manage CL/SuperSession environments.

Configure and manage trigger phrases, trigger keys, and session selection mechanisms.

Navigate and perform administrative functions using CL/SuperSession administrator dialogs.

Develop and maintain SSPL dialogs and automation routines.

Work closely with z/OS, VTAM, and application support teams to ensure seamless integration.

Analyze existing CA TPX implementations and design equivalent CL/SuperSession solutions.

Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational support during and after migration.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with IBM CL/SuperSession administration and implementation.

In-depth knowledge of:

Session selection methods in CL/SuperSession

Trigger phrases and trigger keys

CL/SuperSession libraries and architecture

Administrator dialogs and management panels

User and session definition management

CL/SuperSession commands and utilities

VTAM integration and connectivity

Extensive experience with SSPL (SuperSession Programming Language) and dialog development.

Working knowledge of z/OS, TSO/ISPF, and JCL.

Experience installing CL/SuperSession and executing IVP procedures.

Ability to analyze third-party ISV solutions and implement equivalent functionality within CL/SuperSession.

Experience with mainframe modernization and migration projects is highly desirable.
