This position is fully onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

Enterprise Digital Systems

The Enterprise Digital Systems department at Bell maintains cross-functional alignment and long-term strategy for tools in engineering design, manufacturing, and product lifecycle management. Within that department, the Modeling and Simulation team focuses on multiphysics analysis and simulation tools across the enterprise, including commercial off-the-shelf applications and proprietary software development. The team advocates for the business need of engineering analytical tools, aligns tool development with program needs short and long-term, and orchestrates evaluation of new methods and tools.

What you'll be doing as an Engineering Tools Coordinator

  • Provide departmental project leadership in defining a multi-year acquisition strategy for licensed engineering tools related to FEA, CFD, system controls design, flight simulation utilities, electromagnetics, and more
  • Compile engineering analysis tools requirements from Technical Fellows, Technical Competency Leads, and program leaders to support budgetary rationale of annual operating plans and long-range planning
  • Interpret and communicate historical usage analytics to guide strategic tool decisions.
  • Facilitate regular Engineering Software Board meetings
  • Maintain consistent communication between engineering SMEs and IT regarding timelines, priorities, and responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with IT to coordinate integration, infrastructure, and security implications
  • Coordinate supplier management, budget tracking, forecasting, and purchase execution for renewals and acquisitions
  • Evaluate new tool requests and ensure strategic alignment with multi-year strategies.
  • Ensure alignment of licensing terms with Legal, Contracts, and Compliance support departments at Bell and Textron
  • Execute purchase requests for approved acquisitions

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years coordinating or leading the evaluation, implementation, use, and/or optimization of analysis tools, software, or related platforms.
  • Able to sift through detailed technical requirements to identify key needs and convey them clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated drive for process improvement and operational effectiveness
  • Experience working under ITAR/EAR constraints, preferred
  • Demonstrated vendor management, budget ownership, and/or software licensing experience, preferred
