Description

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Oak Brook, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of desktop systems, contributing to the efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and deliver top-tier support in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to end-users by resolving hardware and software issues.
Perform desktop imaging and ensure proper setup and configuration of workstations.
Troubleshoot and repair workstation hardware to maintain optimal functionality.
Install, configure, and support Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Manage and maintain systems running Microsoft Windows 10, ensuring reliability and security.
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements for IT processes.
Document technical procedures and resolutions to enhance support efficiency.
Offer proactive solutions to prevent recurring technical issues.
Monitor system performance and address any concerns promptly.
Maintain inventory of hardware components and ensure proper allocation.

Requirements

Proficiency in Windows 10 and associated system management.
Strong knowledge of workstation hardware and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with desktop imaging processes and tools.
Familiarity with Office 365 installation and support.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills to assist end-users and collaborate with teams.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining documentation and inventory.
Prior experience in desktop support or a similar technical role.
