Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This individual will be responsible for translating user requirements into solution architecture and design documents. The role involves acting as a subject matter expert to influence stakeholder strategy, gathering functional and technical requirements, and ensuring solutions are compliant with organizational standards within an Agile/SAFe environment.
Responsibilities: - Translate requirements submitted by users into the architecture for that solution and describe it through architecture and design documents
- Influence stakeholder strategy and understand their needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem
- Establish and build relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations
- Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests
- Act as the subject matter expert within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions
- Determine the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications across a business/technical domain and assist with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design
- Ensure changes to the application are compliant with organizational standards and policies
- Assist users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions
Requirements: - 5+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts using visual aids such as diagrams, charts, Tableau, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience creating solution documents and detailed functional specifications for business systems using a variety of logic modeling techniques
- Experience interpreting dashboards such as Tableau to drive data-driven decisions to further roadmap
- Passionate about learning and solving complex problems
- Experience with analytical systems thinking, systems analysis, and technical design
- Experience with the creation and updates of system specifications and Agile Epics/Story definitions
- Familiar with SAFe methodology
- Experience identifying, documenting, and assisting in the planning of various test phases within the development cycle
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira
- Meeting facilitation and discussion moderation skills
Desired skills: - Technical background (Computer Science/Engineering Degree, Programming background)
- Understanding of NLP/NLU concepts
- Familiar with ADA design and guidelines
- Experience with a variety of analysis tools and techniques such as Context Diagrams, Functional Decomposition, Interface Analysis, Sequence Diagrams, Use Cases, User Stories, TAM Block Diagrams
- Ability to understand and create logical domain/data models such as business entity diagrams
- Ability to understand, model, and document business processes using techniques such as process flows, activity diagrams, BPMN, etc.
- Experience documenting the functional aspects of web services including inputs, outputs, logic, and validation logic
- Experience with data mapping and data transformation rules involving both database fields as well as XML data
Pay range: $43.56 - $51.56 per hour
