Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
Lead Fire Alarm Technician to help establish and support fire alarm installation and service operations in the Nashville market. This is a high-level, hands-on role for a technician who is comfortable leading small teams, working independently in the field, and setting standards in a growing environment.
This position is part of a
new team build supporting a large, multi-year commercial fire alarm and security contract launching in July. The right individual will play a key role in market expansion, project execution, and future team development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and perform commercial fire alarm installations and service work
- Supervise and guide teams of 2-4 technicians/helpers onsite
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Install and service fire alarm devices including smokes, heats, pull stations, horn/strobes, panels, and related components
- Bend and install EMT and rigid conduit for fire alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently
- Ensure work complies with NFPA 72, local fire codes, and inspection requirements
- Work in occupied commercial environments while maintaining safety and professionalism
- Complete work with minimal oversight and maintain jobsite accountability
Required Skills & Qualifications- 3+ years of hands-on commercial fire alarm installation and/or service experience
- Proven experience leading small teams in commercial environments
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, codes, and inspections
- Ability to work independently and manage onsite tasks without direct supervision
- Experience with conduit installation and structured cabling
- Own basic hand tools (punch, snips, cutters, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
Nice-to-Have Qualifications- NICET Fire Alarm Certification (Level I-III preferred)
- Experience with major platforms such as Notifier, Simplex, Fire-Lite, Honeywell, Bosch, Edwards, etc.
- Prior experience as a lead or experienced technician
- Exposure to security systems (access control, CCTV)
- Experience helping launch new teams or supporting expansion efforts
Work Environment- Large-scale commercial projects throughout the greater Nashville area
- Installations in environments such as hospitals, government facilities, office buildings, hotels, and mixed-use properties

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
