Location: Sunnyvale, California (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $35 - $40 hourly
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Lab Engineer for a contract position. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, can troubleshoot complex issues, is detail-oriented, and has experience testing and validating electronic devices. This role involves regular collaboration with Hardware and Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation and performance of electronic devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define test strategy, write test plans, and design and execute software tests.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a Linux environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure device performance.
- Manage lab equipment and ensure compliance with standards.
- Develop and maintain scripts for testing and automation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with software project testing.
Technical Skills:- Mandatory knowledge of the UNIX environment.
- 1+ years of experience in writing scripts in at least Python.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with Shell Scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Linux troubleshooting and debugging.
- Demonstrated lab management and compliance experience.
- Hands-on experience in testing Linux and/or Android-based devices.
- Solid understanding of QA tool development chains and environments.
- Experience writing scripts with test automation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Mac OS.
