Position Overview
Client is seeking a Technical Architect – Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps to support cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, automation, resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, containerization, middleware, database, and production infrastructure initiatives.
The consultant will assess existing infrastructure, develop migration strategies, design and implement infrastructure solutions, and provide technical expertise across cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience
This classification must have a minimum of Ten (10)+ years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming or testing.
Education
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
Staff Minimum Qualifications
A. Minimum of five years of experience supporting large-scale IT infrastructure operations in a lead capacity using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service management best practices
B. Minimum of five years of combined experience in planning, designing, implementing, administering, operating, and upgrading the following groups of technologies:
1) Network technologies including Palo Alto firewalls, F5 or comparable load balancers, routers, and data center switches.
2) Operating systems including Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Oracle Enterprise Linux.
3) Container and container management technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
4) Middleware and System Software like Apache HTTP Server, Oracle WebLogic, WildFly, and Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP).
5) Database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MariaDB, and Microsoft Azure Synapse
C. Minimum of five years of experience in planning, designing, implementing, administering, operating and upgrading the following groups of information technology solutions:
1) Privileged account management solutions using technologies like Thycotic and CyberArk.
2) Security Information and Event Management solutions using technologies like Splunk.
3) Threat and Vulnerability Management solutions using technologies like Tenable and Qualys.
4) Enterprise Identity and Access Management Solutions using technologies like Okta and Azure Active Directory.
D. Minimum of five years of applied information security experience with Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
E. Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience planning and migrating on-premises infrastructure to cloud.
F. Minimum of Five (5) years of experience with knowledge transfer to state staff.
