Summary

Job Title:  Senior ServiceNow Developer 
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)
Duration:  Long Term Contract
 
The role in one line: A senior hands-on ServiceNow developer who builds and supports secure, FedRAMP-compliant solutions for the State of Ohio’s enterprise ServiceNow platform, and mentors junior and agency developers.
What the team should screen for
  1. Hard knockouts (check first)
    • A ServiceNow certification: CAD (Certified Application Developer) or a CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist). Ask for the certification number and verify it.
  2. Core experience
    • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, not administration. That covers Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, scoped apps, and API integrations.
    • Work in regulated or government environments (FedRAMP, GCC High, federal or state government). This is the main differentiator.
    • Enterprise release work: monthly releases, regression testing, UAT support, and integrations.
  3. Senior-level signals
    • Has led root-cause analysis on complex platform issues.
    • Has done code reviews and mentored other developers.
    • Communicates well with both technical and business stakeholders.
