Technical Product Manager

Location: Arlington, VA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Travel: Up to 5%

Type: 39 Week Contract

Role Overview

The Event Content team within a large cloud services marketing organization is seeking a Technical Program Product Manager to support hands-on technical sessions delivered at flagship cloud computing events. This role serves as a key liaison between internal engineering teams that manage the hands-on session platform, the event content organization, and session speakers who rely on the platform to deliver interactive technical experiences.

The Technical Program Product Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of hands-on technical sessions across multiple large-scale events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact between the internal service engineering team, event content stakeholders, and technical session speakers
  • Communicate guidelines, process updates, requirements, and issues clearly across all parties
  • Coordinate integration and deployment of the hands-on session platform for technical event sessions
  • Manage the end-to-end workflow for interactive sessions, from intake and planning through delivery and execution
  • Update and maintain session intake forms to support multiple large-scale events
  • Audit session data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness ahead of key milestones
  • Coordinate with platform owners, allocation leads, and cross-functional stakeholders to meet all delivery deadlines
  • Translate technical constraints, dependencies, and requirements between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot session-related issues and proactively mitigate risks to ensure seamless delivery
  • Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and communications for technical speakers
  • Monitor session execution, collect feedback, and identify opportunities for process or platform improvements


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and AWS services, including exposure to the generative AI technology stack (e.g., foundational models, accelerator technologies, or managed AI services)
  • Experience supporting or delivering content for large-scale technical conferences or cloud-focused events (e.g., summits, expos, or industry conferences)
  • Proficiency with Airtable or strong experience using database or spreadsheet tools such as Excel or SQL-based systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting technical workshops or hands-on learning experiences
  • Familiarity with content management systems or hands-on learning platforms
  • Background partnering with speakers, instructors, or trainers in technical environments

Experience & Education
  • 3-7 years of experience in technical program management, product management, or a related role
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience in technical product or program management
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, AI-focused certifications) are strongly preferred
