Summary

A large, highly regulated financial services enterprise is seeking an Engineer III to support and evolve a mission-critical loyalty and rewards platform. This role focuses on building high-scale, cloud-native services using Golang and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), supporting massive data volumes and global users.

This is a core platform engineering role supporting systems that directly impact customer engagement at scale. You'll work on distributed systems in a compliance-heavy environment, partnering closely with global engineering teams. Ideal for engineers who want ownership, system-level impact, and exposure to modern cloud and AI-assisted development tools without sacrificing work-life balance.

Contract Duration: 6-12 months with ability to convert

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years building cloud-based applications
3+ years Golang development
Strong Google Cloud Platform experience (required)
Experience with Bigtable, Spanner, or similar managed services
CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance
Debugging, troubleshooting, and system optimization experience
Strong understanding of private and public cloud environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience leveraging AI tools and/or building AI agents
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Microservices architecture and design experience
Multi-cloud exposure (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, OpenShift/OCP)
Strong data modeling fundamentals
Experience in highly regulated environments

Design and build scalable cloud services and frameworks
Develop and maintain data-intensive pipelines
Participate in system design, estimation, and deployment
Conduct code reviews and ensure engineering best practices
Diagnose production issues and perform root-cause analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
