Software Engineer (Full-Stack .NET)

Location: Phoenix, AZ or Chandler, AZ
Assignment Type: Contingent | 12-month contract with potential extension or conversion
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite - mandatory)
Team: Technology & Operations (TCOO)
About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development, modernization, and support of enterprise applications that power Mail and Print Operations, including systems used for scanning and generating shipping labels. You'll collaborate closely with engineering partners, participate in architecture and design discussions, and help modernize legacy applications as they migrate to cloud-native environments.

In this role, you will review and solve moderately complex engineering challenges, ensure platform reliability, contribute to project planning, and deliver high-quality software aligned with engineering best practices. You will also support vulnerability remediation and enhancement initiatives across a portfolio of over 10 applications.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET Core, Web APIs, and modern front-end technologies.
  • Participate in cloud-migration and containerization efforts for legacy applications.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot moderately complex technical issues, evaluating variable factors and system behaviors.
  • Partner with internal engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
  • Support vulnerability management and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Participate in evening release deployments as needed based on application assignment.
  • Work within a hybrid team of approximately 12 engineers across the U.S.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work, training, military service, or education).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with .NET Core, RESTful APIs, and Web API development.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Server and database design.
  • 2+ years with Autosys job scheduling.
  • 2+ years of cloud engineering experience, preferably with OpenShift (OCP).
  • 3+ years working within Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google Apigee.
  • Experience with Kafka messaging platform.
  • Background in modernization, containerization, and cloud-native architectural design.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their integration into enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  • Ability to complete HackerRank/Glider assessments if required.
  • Eligible to convert to full-time without sponsorship (preferred but not required).
