Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior SDET
Location: Phoenix, AZ or Southlake, TX

Work Model: Hybrid (4 days a week in office)

Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension

We are a fintech platform team focused on delivering a next-generation, consolidated microsite ecosystem that unifies multiple standalone applications into a seamless, holistic user experience. Our mission is to maintain exceptional customer support while executing on sustaining engineering goals. We are powered by a diverse, high-performing team that continuously raises the bar on product quality and delivery.

We are looking for an experienced SDET who is passionate about quality and excels at designing scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks. You will collaborate closely with developers to understand application architecture and build reliable automated testing solutions. You will champion a high-quality engineering culture across one or more scrum teams.

Responsibilities

Act as a hands-on test automation engineer with a DevOps mindset in an Agile environment

Design and implement automation strategies for web services, APIs, middleware, and UI layers

Build and maintain automation that integrates seamlessly within a CI/CD framework

Develop methods for automated test data creation and data refresh capabilities

Assist developers with CI/CD pipeline automation

Coordinate with scrum masters, product owners, and developers to implement test automation and CI/CD best practices

Maintain automation code using source control, test management, and release management systems

Manage test case repositories and track results at sprint and release level using JIRA

Maintain automation code and scripts using BitBucket

Design and implement a continuous testing pipeline using Bamboo for regression and smoke testing

Enable scrum teams to adopt BDD methodology using Gherkin/Ruby/Cucumber

Deliver robust quality consistently across sprints and releases in an Agile/DevOps environment

Minimum Qualifications

5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or an advanced degree (Master's, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 3+ years of experience in test automation in an Agile environment

Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable automation for both UI and API/service-level testing

Strong programming proficiency in Object-Oriented languages, particularly Java

Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, PCF, or equivalent)

Proficiency with Atlassian tools: Bitbucket, JIRA, Zephyr, Confluence, and Bamboo

Experience with Selenium and SOATest

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, developers, QA peers, and business stakeholders

Familiarity with test data management techniques and tools

Nice to have: Experience with cloud-based testing infrastructure tools such as SauceLabs

Nice to have: Experience with document databases such as MongoDB

Nice to have: Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in the context of application testing
