We are seeking a QA Engineer focused on delivering a modern web application with strong quality engineering practices to support a major underwriting new business transformation initiative. This role will drive shift-left testing, build automation-first validation, and ensure high-quality delivery across incremental migrations, identity integrations, and complex multi-step workflows.
Responsibilities
Define and execute comprehensive test strategies for Web UI, API, and end-to-end workflows.
Build and maintain automated test suites for continuous validation.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback cycles.
Perform in-sprint testing leveraging shift-left practices, including build validation, smoke testing, and regression automation.
Validate complex identity and authentication flows, including SSO, login, MFA, and migration scenarios.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage for multiple user personas and scenarios.
Partner directly with engineering, product, and business teams to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Drive defect triage, reporting, and resolution.
Support release readiness validation in staging environments and successfully coordinate QA sign-off cycles.
Minimum qualifications
Hands-on experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and reporting.
Strong experience building and utilizing test automation frameworks for both UI and API testing.
Proficiency with industry-standard API testing tools.
Solid understanding of web application testing, specifically React-based UI validation.
Proven experience in backend and API validation, particularly with Node.js services and microservices.
Strong knowledge of authentication flows, including SSO, OAuth, MFA, and token-based systems.
Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of in-sprint QA and shift-left practices.
Proficiency in test data management and environment coordination.
Deep understanding of comprehensive regression testing strategies and defect tracking processes.
