Description:
Role: Software Engineer

Location: Camarillo, California ( Onsite)

Employment type: Contract

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and contribute to software system architectures and solutions

Understand and manage interfaces across multiple subsystems and components

Develop and execute test procedures for requirements verification and validation

Perform validation activities including module-level integration testing and regression testing

Analyze test results, document defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, internal teams, and engineering disciplines

Contribute to peer reviews, technical reviews, and key milestone meetings

Ensure alignment of system requirements with test cases and validation activities

Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience

Experience writing clear functional and technical requirements

Hands-on experience with integration, functional, regression, and performance testing, particularly on embedded systems

Proficiency in requirements-based testing with traceability using tools such as IBM DOORS or equivalent RMS

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, sprint cycles, and DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and defect tracking

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently

Experience participating in formal reviews, walkthroughs, and audits

Ability to interpret engineering artifacts such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), and system architecture documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced experience in testing embedded software systems (integration, functional, regression, and performance)

Experience designing and leading end-to-end test strategies, including system-level integration and compliance testing

Ability to conduct validation activities, analyze test metrics, and ensure alignment with software requirements and stakeholder expectations

Strong experience analyzing complex test data, performing deep root-cause analysis, and driving defect resolution across teams

Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration for quality assurance and system verification
