The team is responsible for managing a variety of projects across an entire IT organization. This role will be mainly responsible for database upgrades and migrations, including reviewing and progressing tickets to ensure teams stay on schedule. Candidates should have worked within a DB environment before - this team has SQL, Oracle, Postgres DBs, among others. There will be tight deadlines, and likely some resistance from stakeholders. Excellent communication and a customer service mindset are imperative. It is important that this PM be aware of the scope/health of the downstream teams to be able to progress toward goals/timelines accordingly. This role will not include project initialization or completion, but rather understanding where their tickets sit, understanding workflows and giving/taking direction. This person will be working with four infrastructure sided technical teams.
Main duties will include creation of status reports, checking completion of milestones, monitoring scope, and other duties as assigned by senior project/program managers. This person should have some IT exposure as projects will all be based in application, database and software technologies. The team is seeking someone who is organized, assertive and is able to help ensure the timely delivery of projects.
