Executive Assistant to the Executive Committee (Generalist)
The Opportunity
StaffRight Associates has been retained by a world-class computational research organization at the intersection of high-performance computing and pharmaceutical innovation. We are seeking an exceptionally accomplished Generalist Assistant to provide high-level support to members of the firm’s Executive Committee.
This is not a traditional administrative role. You will operate within an environment that utilizes proprietary supercomputing technology and advanced machine learning to solve biologically significant problems at an atomic level. We are looking for a proactive, highly resourceful force multiplier who can navigate a stimulating, intellectually rigorous atmosphere with poise and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Orchestration: Manage complex, high-priority scheduling and calendar logistics for Executive Committee members.
Logistics Management: Coordinate intricate domestic and international travel and execute comprehensive expense reporting.
Strategic Support: Lead ad hoc research projects and provide general administrative assistance to ensure the operational efficiency of the executive suite.
Event Coordination: Plan and execute high-stakes internal and external events and meetings.
Communication Liaison: Serve as a highly articulate point of contact, interacting effectively with internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile & Day 1 Readiness
The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects without oversight. We are looking for:
Proactive Problem Solving: A proven track record of anticipating executive needs before they arise and solving complex logistical hurdles effectively.
Discretion & Sophistication: Experience handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
Technical/Scientific Literacy: While not required, an educational or professional background in Technology, Biotechnology, or Pharmaceuticals is a significant advantage.
Resourcefulness: An innate ability to conduct deep-dive research and synthesize information quickly.
Qualifications
Significant experience supporting senior leadership/C-Suite executives within a high-stakes professional environment (e.g., Tech, Finance, or Research).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage complex travel and event logistics.
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to fostering a positive, innovative work culture.
Education Requirements
While a bachelor’s degree in a business or liberal arts field provides a strong foundation for this role, candidates with academic backgrounds in computer science, computational biology, or organic chemistry possess a distinct advantage in navigating the firm’s technical language. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in executive administration are valued, but the primary requirement is a demonstrated intellectual curiosity capable of matching the rigor of a high-performance research environment.
Benefits & Culture
Hybrid Flexibility: Work from the NYC office Tuesday through Thursday, with the option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
Comprehensive Package: Competitive base salary, generous sign-on and year-end bonuses, and a full suite of benefits including relocation and immigration assistance where applicable.
Intellectual Environment: Work alongside some of the worlds leading innovators in computational biology and hardware engineering.
