Terminal Operations Technician opportunity welcomes talent at varying experience levels-from entry-level operators building foundational skills to seasoned professionals ready to take on advanced responsibilities. Pay & SchedulePay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Rotating schedule of two weeks on days and two weeks on nights
Hours: Between 8 and 10 hours per day
Employment Type: Direct hire, full-time
What You'll Do Day to Day
- Assist with and perform loading and unloading of barges, trucks, and rail cars while monitoring product flow and directing materials to the correct locations
- Conduct scheduled rounds and routine inspections to identify operational, environmental, or security concerns
- Document findings, report issues, and take appropriate corrective action
- Support inventory and quality control activities, including tank gauging, temperature monitoring, meter readings, sampling, and API analysis testing
- Assist with or perform basic maintenance and upkeep of terminal assets such as tanks, pipelines, valves, motors, mixers, and control panels
- Monitor and support terminal automation and overfill protection systems
- Maintain accurate facility logs, product movement orders, and over/short documentation
- Perform routine grounds maintenance to keep the facility safe and orderly
- Actively participate in and promote a strong safety and compliance culture
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document readings and activities
- Self-motivated mindset with the ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial terminal environment
- Entry-level candidates welcome; prior experience in transportation, bulk terminal operations, or petroleum-based products is a plus
- Advanced candidates may bring experience with regulatory compliance, barge operations, safety certifications, inspections, and automation systems
