MARS Solutions Group is looking for a Python Developer in Franklin, WI. Our client is a (Technology/Financial Services) industry leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.
Preferred: candidates can come on site periodically
Not Preferred: Starting someone remote
Minimum onsite expectation: A coupled days per month would likely be sufficient

In this role, you will develop automation solutions, backend services, and APIs that streamline data masking workflows and improve the delivery of secure test data. You will collaborate closely with architects, database teams, and application teams to design scalable solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Python.
- Build and enhance backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Develop microservices that automate data masking and test data workflows.
- Create and improve database automation processes and system integrations.
- Work with relational databases to support application functionality and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with architects to define technical solutions and future feature roadmaps.
- Develop scalable solutions for both on-premises and AWS-based environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve platform performance and reliability.
- Document technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience developing applications with Python.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, or similar.
- Experience with Linux environments.
- Experience developing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data masking or data privacy solutions.
- Experience with the Delphix Masking Platform.
- Java development experience.
- Experience with modern web UI frameworks or frontend development.
- Experience building distributed, idempotent, cloud-native applications.
