Job Description
At Cetera, we don't just manage wealth; we provide the insight and tools that help over 12,000 independent financial professionals reach their full potential. Data is the heartbeat of our Wealth Hub, and as the Head of MDM, you will be the architect ensuring that this data is the ultimate source of truth, fueling the AI-driven tools and personalized experiences our advisors rely on to grow their businesses.
We're seeking a Head of Master Data Management (MDM) to lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing evolution of our enterprise MDM function. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on leader who combines strategic vision with technical expertise to ensure our master data is accurate, consistent, and trusted across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute a forward-thinking MDM strategy that aligns with Cetera's "Intelligence Engine" and broader digital transformation goals.
Partner with authoritative data sources to identify domains and attributes that align with our enterprise architecture, positioning our MDM platform as the definitive System of Record (SOR).
Design end-to-end MDM lifecycles-from onboarding and validation to stewardship and publishing-ensuring data is an asset, not a hurdle.
Establish and enforce survivorship logic, hierarchy management, and data quality rules that maintain compliance while fostering innovation.
Own the MDM technology stack, partnering with IT to select and optimize scalable tools that grow alongside our advisor network.
Mentor a high-performing team of data stewards, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration across the organization.
Qualifications:
10+ years in the data management trenches, with 5+ years leading MDM strategy in a complex, high-growth and heavily regulated environment.
Deep expertise in MDM platforms and their integration with CRM/ERP systems.
Proven ability to translate complex data concepts into business value, influencing stakeholders and driving the adoption of best practices.
A passion for coaching and developing talent, ensuring your team is equipped to meet the needs of the modern wealth management landscape.
Compensation Range:
The base annual salary range for this role is $164,000 - $265,000 plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
