Job Description

We are seeking an experienced High Availability Mainframe Developer to support mission-critical banking applications and ATM/POS transaction processing systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Connex ATM/POS, along with strong IBM Assembler, COBOL, and CICS development skills.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing mainframe applications, supporting production environments, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring the stability and availability of critical banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications supporting ATM/POS transaction processing.
  • Work with Connex applications to support payment processing and banking transactions.
  • Perform production support, troubleshoot application issues, and resolve critical incidents.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective solutions.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain applications using IBM Assembler, COBOL, and CICS.
  • Support application testing, deployments, implementations, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, and business teams to maintain high availability.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and operational stability in a banking environment.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on Connex ATM/POS experience is mandatory.
  • Strong experience with IBM Assembler and COBOL.
  • Experience with CICS and mainframe application development.
  • Production support and troubleshooting experience.
  • Root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical applications in banking or financial services.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with FIS Systematics banking applications.
  • Knowledge of ATM/POS transaction processing and payment switching.
  • Experience with application enhancements, implementations, and high-availability environments.
