Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco wireless technologies and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). This role involves supporting and enhancing a large-scale enterprise network within a manufacturing/industrial environment.

The ideal candidate can quickly understand the existing network setup and contribute independently with minimal ramp-up. This is a highly hands-on role requiring real-world deployment and troubleshooting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless networks
• Administer and optimize Cisco ISE for:
• Wired and wireless 802.1X authentication
• Certificate-based authentication
• TACACS and access control
• Guest/visitor access portals
• Manage Cisco 9800 wireless controllers and Cisco/Meraki access points
• Troubleshoot network, authentication, and certificate-related issues
• Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure secure network access
• Assist with documentation and knowledge transfer
• Participate in discussions around Private LTE / 5G initiatives
• Work in live production environments for testing and implementation

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ISE in enterprise environments
• Experience with wired and wireless authentication (802.1X)
• Expertise in certificate-based authentication environments
• Hands-on experience with:
• Cisco 9800 wireless controllers
• Cisco access points and Meraki APs
• Experience supporting large-scale wireless networks (multiple controllers, hundreds of APs)
• Ability to work independently in complex environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial (OT) environments
• Exposure to Private LTE or Private 5G networks
• Experience working with OT teams, control systems, or plant operations
• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE or equivalent experience)

Work Environment

• Onsite role in a manufacturing facility
• Must be comfortable working on the plant floor
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions and industrial settings
