Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Solution Analyst in the P&C insurance domain.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Strong understanding of PolicyCenter data model, product model, and configuration.
  • Proficiency in writing business rules and workflows.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users to gather and document functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and focus groups to understand current workflows and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and use case scenarios.
  • Translate business requirements into Guidewire PolicyCenter configurations and customizations.
  • Work with developers and architects to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Define business rules, workflows, and screen configurations.
  • Analyze integration points with external systems such as billing, claims, and third-party services.
  • Document data flows, APIs, and interface requirements.
  • Support integration testing and ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and test cases.
  • Participate in system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet business expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business and technical teams.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • Develop user manuals and training materials.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and support teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements.
  • Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Gosu scripting language.
  • Guidewire Associate or Specialist Certification in PolicyCenter.
  • CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent business analysis certification.
