Position Title: Network Engineer
Position Duties:
Perform radio network design, implementation and/or tuning/optimization systems. Responsible for technical organization and oversight of work and communication with team, project manager, and customer. Work with different services including 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA (License Assisted Access), 4G LTE, IOT, CBRS and/or multi-vendor. Perform event analysis and address accessibility, retainability and HO success rate issues design. Utilize planning tools such as Planet EV and Atoll. Make recommendations to improve a network design (cell plan). Perform model tuning. Identify add-on sales opportunities tuning. Make recommendations in parameter changes, feature activations on drive test data to improve the system performance. Utilize optimization tools such as TEMS investigation, Actix, Agilent and R&S. Collect and analyze drive data and performance statistics and solve complex issues. Suggest improvements to tools. Implement and experiment on RAN features relative to traffic analysis.
Work may be performed at various, unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Work Location: 999 West Big Beaver Rd. Troy, Michigan 48084
Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Minimum Qualifications: US Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience as a Network Engineering professional or substantially similar position.
Special Skill Requirements: Experience must include: 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, 4G LTE, IOT, CBRS or multi-vendor services; Planet EV or Atoll; performing event analysis and addressing accessibility, retainability and HO success rate issues design; ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) tool; and one (1) year of experience in each of the following: radio network design and implementation or tuning and optimization systems; 5G and LTE features validation and performance analysis; Preparing scripts using ECT.
