Project Overview
The Project Manager's responsibilities will include governance and reporting and providing information for effective management decision-making. Both waterfall and agile project delivery approaches may be used. The Project Manager plays a key role leading the project, ensuring it is implemented on schedule and within budget and monitoring and managing risk.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic liaison between Innovation, Business, and IT teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all stakeholders.
Drive cross-functional coordination to achieve program objectives and deliver successful outcomes.
Facilitate transparent communication across project teams; manage complex messaging for internal and external audiences.
Resolve conflicts constructively, fostering shared commitment to program goals and building consensus among stakeholders.
Identify and address sensitive issues, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with organizational priorities.
Develop and deliver executive-level communications, including polished presentations and reports for EVP and Board audiences.
Define and manage Innovation workstreams, including schedules, tasks, budgets, risks, and changes, leveraging PMO processes, tools, and governance standards.
Monitor program performance track timelines, budgets, and deliverables; ensure milestones are met and escalate issues as needed.
Proactively identify risks and issues, implement mitigation strategies, and collaborate with senior leadership for resolution of complex challenges.
Plan and manage resources across all phases of the program, including transition to production support.
Assess technology impacts on scope, schedule, and deliverables; ensure feasibility within constraints.
Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to deliver technical solutions effectively.
Leverage Innovation toolsets and processes (DevOps, configuration management, change management) to ensure stable, scalable solutions.
Manage program financials, including budgeting and forecasting for resources, hardware, software, and labor.
Ensure compliance with governance standards, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity policies, and technical requirements.
Fulfill PMO and governance obligations, including documentation, PPM Pro entries, gate reviews, and adherence to the PMO Playbook.
Foster collaboration among program teams, project teams, and business units to drive success.
Maintain stakeholder engagement, manage expectations, and prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and correspondence.
Skills
Experience in leading initiatives across organizational boundaries
Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple different Business Partners at all levels of the Business, including at the executive level.
Understand the software development process and experience in Technology project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and IT solution delivery processes, procedures, and toolsets (DevOps, configuration management).
Familiarity with engineering/ construction project management lifecycle
Strong and tested project management skills including Customer relationship management, Sponsor expectation management, Risk management, Change Management, Vendor Management.
Understand data governance, management & quality.
Organized, good communicator, deadline driven, team builder, leader, planner, problem solver, and agile.
Ability to promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment with project team members, co-workers, management, and vendors by behaving, collaborating, and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards.
