The manager has asked us to find local candidates who ideally can come in 1x week. If our initial search does not reap any results, I will go back to him and see if we can get approval for a national search – which we know it is always the case.
1st role – PM – Support migration of Disaster Recovery to Azure Cloud. (Prefer utilities but not absolute).
2nd role -PM- Will support utilities app – specifically the electricity system- NY ISO
The PMs will be working on a team of approx. 10-15. They will not have any management responsibility.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent of education and experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of professional experience formally leading infrastructure (and application preferably) projects within a cross-functional environment
• Experience in Energy & Utilities or services industry with strong experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Waterfall and Iterative models
• Ability to tactfully drive indirect reports and pivot while maintaining order in a fast-paced business environment
• Experience providing a service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
• Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills and the ability to conduct presentations to large groups
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
• Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, or Agile certification
• Experience working in Software Development and Test Organizations
• Experience with PPM tools (e.g. PPM360, JIRA, Planview, ServiceNow, Project Server Online, etc.)
• Experience in a consultative role with an implementation service organization or start-up
