Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux System Administrator with 10+ years of experience managing enterprise Linux environments. The candidate will be responsible for Linux server administration, system security, performance optimization, automation, storage, networking, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Linux System Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.
- Install, configure, maintain, patch, and upgrade Linux servers.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system services including Apache, Nginx, DNS, DHCP, and SSH.
- Experience with Linux user/group administration, permissions, sudo, and SSH access controls.
- Experience configuring and managing iptables and firewalld.
- Strong understanding of Linux security, vulnerability remediation, security patches, and log auditing.
- Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting CPU, memory, disk, and network issues.
- Strong Bash/Shell scripting skills for automation and system administration.
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management and automation.
- Experience configuring Linux networking, routing, network interfaces, and VPNs.
- Strong experience with LVM, RAID, NFS, iSCSI, SAN, disk partitioning, and storage management.
- Experience developing and maintaining backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management experience.
- Ability to analyze system logs and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Experience working with cross-functional DevOps, Security, Networking, and Infrastructure teams.
- Ability to document system configurations, procedures, architecture, and troubleshooting processes.
- Experience providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior system administrators.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Candidates should have strong enterprise-level Linux administration experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with automation, security, networking, storage, and disaster recovery.
