Role Summary



In response to the company's strategic expansion, our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer with a focus on certification. This pivotal role is integral to the realisation of a next-generation aircraft featuring advanced composite structures. Your expertise will directly influence the structural integrity, safety, and certification pathway of a clean-sheet developmental programme, offering an exciting opportunity to shape revolutionary aerospace innovation.



Responsibilities



  • Support the team with structural analyses for composite aircraft components, ensuring compliance with certification standards.

  • Support the assessment processes related to fatigue, damage tolerance, and repairability.

  • Develop and refine certification strategies, including substantiation activities aligned with Part 23 and Part 25 regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate structural considerations into overall aircraft design and testing programmes.

  • Prepare comprehensive analysis reports, technical documentation, and certification submissions.

  • Act as a key technical contact points within the structures and certification teams, providing guidance and expertise throughout the development process.



Essential Skills & Experience



  • Proven experience in structural analysis and stress assessments within the aerospace sector.

  • Strong understanding of composite primary structures, particularly CFRP.

  • Hands-on experience with static analysis, fatigue, and damage tolerance evaluations.

  • Familiarity with aircraft certification processes, especially Part 23 or Part 25.

  • Experience working on aircraft programmes from initial design stages through to certification.

  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and contribute to certification strategies collaboratively.



Desirable Skills & Experience



  • Previous interaction with aviation authorities, including FAA or DERs.

  • Involvement in clean-sheet aircraft development projects.

  • Background in emerging sectors such as eVTOL or advanced air mobility.

  • Experience working on composite-heavy aircraft or innovative aerospace designs.
