Role Overview
The client is seeking a Business Analyst to document home-grown systems within IFA/IEDA/ITG and support future modernization initiatives.
The project focuses on modernizing Medicaid and Integrated Eligibility Systems, improving data integration, reducing legacy system dependencies, and establishing a modern enterprise integration and data foundation. The initiative includes Google Cloud modernization, data integration, mainframe assessment, application modernization, governance, and CMS-aligned infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, design documents, and demo expectations.
- Gather, document, trace, prioritize, and manage business requirements.
- Analyze and improve existing business processes.
- Work with executives, system owners, SMEs, end users, developers, and IT teams.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and recommend solutions.
- Query and analyze data to identify process and system improvements.
- Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
- Drive projects and activities toward successful completion.
- Support business case development, including cost/benefit and risk/impact analysis.
- Help identify modernization opportunities and enterprise value.

Candidate Profile
Looking for a senior-level Business Analyst with strong experience working on large, complex IT systems, preferably in government/public-sector environments. The candidate should be strong in requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management, Agile delivery, documentation, SQL/data analysis, and modernization initiatives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
