Salesforce Developer

Location: Lansing, Michigan (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 12+ months

Role Overview

As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of customizable solutions within Salesforce based on CRM needs. This role involves hands-on CRM development, working with colleagues and end-users to define technical requirements, and ensuring solutions align with long-term strategy. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work under dynamic conditions and within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on CRM development supporting crisis call workflows, including coding and delivering user stories.
  • Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and future enhancements.
  • Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new or updated applications and code.
  • Hold overall technical responsibility for the project environments.
  • Compile and enforce internal development guidelines and standards for the development team.
  • Collaborate with developers for other systems to ensure integration across the business.
  • Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Define, communicate, and manage technical change management processes for all Salesforce technology efforts.
  • Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and code deployment activities using an Azure DevOps build CI/CD process.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud.
  • 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.
  • 2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management.
  • Exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects.

Certifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
  • Experience with Conga and Drawloop.
  • Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience working with FedRAMP-compliant tools and environments.
Work Environment

This position requires a hybrid work schedule. Onsite work is required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Lansing, Michigan. The candidate must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area, defined as within 90 miles, at the time of submission. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
