Windows Server Administrator

Location: Frankfort, Kentucky (Partial Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Windows Server Administrator to support our IT infrastructure. This role involves server and application support, security management, and project participation in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be an experienced troubleshooter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to learn and grow with our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide server and application support.
  • Manage server security, including resolving vulnerabilities and supporting incident response.
  • Handle certificate processing.
  • Conduct Tenable security scan reviews and perform remediation.
  • Support incident response activities.
  • Build and support automation tools.
  • Provide field server support, which may require some travel.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Utilize and manage monitoring tools.
  • Participate in project management tasks.
  • Be part of the server on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Candidates should possess approximately 3+ years of experience in IT, with a preference for server administration.

Technical Skills:
  • History of supporting servers in a VMware environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting Server OS issues.
  • Experience with Windows SQL clusters.
  • Ability to support .NET IIS applications.
  • Experience resolving security vulnerabilities.


Professional Skills:
  • Project management or leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams to advance projects.
  • Initiative to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution.
  • Technical documentation skills.
Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour. The final hourly rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
