Job Title: SAP FI/CO Functional Lead (Funds Management & Project Systems)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (3 days per week onsite)
Duration: 7 plus Months

Job Summary:
The SAP FI/CO Functional Lead will provide end-to-end functional support for enterprise financial systems within SAP. This role is responsible for supporting core Finance and Controlling modules, including Funds Management (FM) and Project Systems (PS), ensuring accurate financial processing, budgeting, and reporting.
The consultant will act as a subject matter expert (SME) supporting production operations, financial close cycles, and system enhancements, while partnering with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO)

Support and maintain:
- General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (capitalization, depreciation, retirement)
Manage cost center and internal order accounting
Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance

Funds Management (FM)

Support annual budget planning and budget loads
Configure and monitor:
- Availability Control (AVC)
- Budget consumption, commitments, and actuals
Analyze and resolve budget variances and overruns

Project Systems (PS)

Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
Support capital project tracking and cost allocation
Manage integration between PS, FM, and FI modules

Financial Close & Reporting

Lead/support:
- Month-end and year-end close processes
Support financial reporting and audit activities

Production Support & Enhancements

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions
Support configuration, enhancements, and testing (UT/UAT)

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with finance and project teams
Translate business needs into functional solutions
Conduct user training and maintain documentation

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, IT, or related field
10+ years of SAP FI/CO experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Funds Management (FM)
- Project Systems (PS)
Experience supporting financial close cycles
Strong production support experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Public sector or large enterprise experience
Experience with SAP reporting tools or Fiori
Experience with integrated ERP environments

Key Skills:

SAP FI/CO configuration and support
Budgeting and financial analysis
Problem-solving and troubleshooting
Stakeholder communication
