Description:
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and administer virtualization and storage platforms across the site, along with related infrastructure technologies.
  • Serve as a technical leader within a cross-functional team, contributing expertise across multiple infrastructure domains.
  • Manage and support key infrastructure components, including hypervisors, storage systems, patching, system updates, and administration of enterprise IT systems.
  • Provide advanced technical support for end users and internal teams, resolving complex issues involving software applications, tools, databases, and system access.
  • Ensure reliable operation of multi-user systems by partnering with network engineers, system engineers, desktop technicians, project managers, and IT leadership.
  • Administer backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk allocation, and maintain enterprise virus protection in accordance with security standards.
  • Maintain security audit logs and documentation on all classified networks, in alignment with direction from the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Work with minimal guidance-independently developing solutions, driving initiatives, and executing technical projects.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments, high expectations, and collaborative engagement across all organizational levels.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 9 years of experience.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent plus 16 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher, with ongoing certification maintenance required.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting virtualization and storage solutions.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Experience with containerized environments.
  • Experience with system engineering across a variety of platform environments.
  • Hands-on experience with security/compliance frameworks such as DCSA, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG.
  • VMware experience/certifications; proficiency with vCenter and ESXi (v6.5+).
  • Experience with VDI deployments (e.g., Horizon, Hyper-V).
  • Strong proficiency in Windows domain architecture, including AD, LDAP, RADIUS, and certificate authority management.
  • Familiarity with SAN storage systems (NetApp ONTAP, E-Series, or similar).
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Cohesity or PPDM.
