Job Details
DBQ Reviewer I - Remote
The DBQ Reviewer I will collaborate with medical professionals to support the completeness and accuracy of medical documentation and examination processes. They will confirm that the VA has been examined for all medical issues listed, the medical provider has utilized the appropriate reporting form, and documentation is completed in accordance with established standards.
Key Tasks
- Successfully complete the Quality Assurance Training Program
- Review medical exam reports to confirm completeness and accuracy
- Document quality issues, and escalate to management as needed
- Interact with healthcare providers to provide report-specific feedback and assist in revising medical exam reports
- Meet individual productivity goals
- Follow and maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOPs and policies
- Maintain a high degree of quality with each review as measured by internal quality auditing
- Follow established escalation process for reviews requiring more assistance or complex review
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Requirement: 1 year of medical experience, or 1 year of experience working in a hospital, and familiarity with medical terminology
Education: Bachelor s or associate degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate tasks
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs
- Ability to collaborate with teams to complete work
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational skills
