Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Seattle, WA; Plano, TX
Work Arrangement: 3 day in office with 2 day WFH
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday
About the Role
Day to Day:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Java 17 and Spring Framework 6.
Build and support microservices architectures, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability across distributed systems.
Develop and enhance front-end features using ReactJS in collaboration with UX and product teams.
Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in Kubernetes/OpenShift or cloud-based environments.
Work closely with database teams to design, query, and optimize Oracle databases for high performance and availability.
Troubleshoot complex production issues, including memory leaks, high CPU utilization, thread contention, and system bottlenecks.
Support Tier 0, high-traffic applications, ensuring uptime, stability, and rapid incident response.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end, from design through deployment.
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain engineering excellence
Must Haves:
8+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
Strong proficiency in Java 17 and Spring Framework 6.
Solid experience developing front-end applications using ReactJS.
Extensive experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
Strong expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other cloud-based container orchestration platforms.
Proficiency with Oracle databases, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving application performance issues such as memory leaks, high CPU utilization, and thread contention/locking.
Proven experience supporting and developing high-traffic, Tier 0 / mission-critical applications.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: 65$-68$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
