Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* The Salesforce Platform Engineer is responsible for partnering with Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance throughout the creation of software deliverables and related artifacts
* Follow established methodologies and standards while recommending improvements based on software development best practices
* Perform Lightning Web Component development as well as development support for integration platforms, including enhancements and bug fixes
* Contribute to all phases of the work effort, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, rollout, and documentation
* Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to review current tasks and provide weekly status updates

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Salesforce Platform Developer I & II required; Architect-level certifications are a plus
* Experience delivering large-scale projects with diverse, cross-functional teams
* Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, asynchronous processes, and platform events
* Experience with Salesforce integration patterns, Named Credentials, and secure authentication (OAuth/JWT)
* Solid understanding of Salesforce security models including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules
* Hands-on expertise with Salesforce Lightning development, including LWC and Aura
* Strong knowledge of the Salesforce data model, Lightning Data Service, and Apex (classes, triggers, controllers, test classes)
* Knowledge of asynchronous patterns including Queueable, Batch Apex, Platform Events, and error-handling frameworks
* Familiarity with Experience Cloud customization and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
* Proficiency in modern front-end development using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and component-driven patterns
* Skilled with SLDS, UI performance optimization, and debugging using dev tools and Salesforce logs
* Strong ability to build and enhance Salesforce UI components across Experience Cloud, Lightning pages, Flows, and custom interfaces

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
