Job Title: Avionics Technician III

Location: Englewood CO
Pay: $40/hr. on W2
Type: Contract to Hire


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician III to join our backshop operations team. In this role, you will perform avionics maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair in accordance with FAA, FCC, and company standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining test equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics components and systems.
  • Interpret and work from technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Route and terminate wiring per technical drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, FCC, and internal safety regulations.
  • Operate and maintain avionics installation tools and equipment.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, and wiring techniques to industry standards.
  • Work in environments exposed to outdoor elements, loud noises, and hazardous materials.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders.


Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant avionics experience (a higher-level degree may substitute for experience).
  • Must have own tools in good working condition.
  • Advanced skills in avionics installation, wiring, soldering, and crimping.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems and maintenance procedures.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL regulations.
  • Experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and pitot-static equipment.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or military avionics environments.


Working Conditions:
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and hazardous materials.
  • Frequent use of hand tools and repetitive hand/arm motions.
  • Requires vision and hearing acuity for detailed work and safety.
  • Safety-sensitive position involving aviation-related duties and equipment handling.
