Oracle Fusion Functional HCM / Payroll

Scope of Coverage

·        Core HR & Workforce: Core HR, Employee & Retiree Self-Service, Talent Management, Learning, and Recruiting / Onboarding.

·        Payroll & Compensation: US Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits.

·        Workforce Management: Time & Labor and Absence Management.

Key Responsibilities

·        Test Scripting & Design: Author detailed test scenarios, test scripts, and execution matrices based on business requirements, functional specification documents, and Fusion configurations.

·        Execution & Lifecycle Testing: Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), regression suites, and complex end-to-end Hire-to-Retire and pay-period business processes.

·        Payroll Parallel Testing: Run parallel payroll testing cycles, extract and compare output results between legacy Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion, and reconcile variances down to the employee/gross-to-net level.

·        Workflows & Security: Validate HR approval hierarchies, automated workflow rules, custom security profiles, and role-based access control (RBAC).

·        Reporting & Analytics: Test custom OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) and BI Publisher operational HR and payroll reports for data accuracy and layout integrity.

·        Defect Management: Log, retest, and track functional defects using enterprise tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM); collaborate with functional consultants on root-cause analysis.

·        UAT Support: Assist client business users, HR specialists, and payroll SMEs during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution and scenario sign-offs.

Qualifications & Required Skills

Must-Have:

·        Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Oracle functional testing experience in HCM and Payroll modules.

·        Fusion Experience: Hands-on functional testing experience on at least 1 full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation.

·        Legacy Knowledge: Working knowledge and background with legacy Oracle EBS HR and Payroll processes.

·        Testing Expertise: Solid experience writing and executing structured, detailed functional test scripts and business scenarios.

Nice-to-Have:

·        Direct experience on an Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud migration project.

·        Experience with US multi-state payroll or public sector pension/retirement reporting.

·        Prior exposure to automated test tools or frameworks (e.g., Opkey, Tricentis Tosca, Selenium).
