Network Engineer - Contract - Gaffney, SC - $40.00 - $44.00/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer in Gaffney, SC.

Role Description

System Engineer familiar with Cisco equipment. Manufacturing experience is a plus. Industrial Network Support Service Long Term engagement

Install and configure routing and switching devices following change control process
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network related issues
Monitor network performance proactively
Verify and update network documentation
Ensure network related policies and best practices are followed
Engage with manufacturing areas to identify network requirements
Understand security best practices and offer solutions to the stakeholders
Test and upgrade network equipment to most recent stable version
Liaison between IT/OT departments
Gather communication requirements and translate to Firewall rule requests
Closely working on network Information Security topics such as:
Risk/Vulnerability/Asset Management
Incident response/Backup & Recovery
Change Management.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

CCNA certification or similar
English language
Deep understanding of the OSI model or TCP/IP stack
Proven hands-on experience with Cisco gear (1+ years)
Information Security knowledge
Understanding Purdue PERA model/CPwE
CCNP certification (desired)
OT/ICS knowledge (desired)
