About the JobWe are seeking an experienced
Application Engineer to support and enhance a mission-critical Legal Technology platform that enables electronic discovery (eDiscovery) and research services across the enterprise. This role will focus on maintaining, modernizing, and improving a cloud-based application hosted in Microsoft Azure.
You will work closely with engineers, business partners, and stakeholders to ensure application reliability, scalability, and performance while contributing to future modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Azure, .NET Core, SQL Server, API development, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
While experience with Legal Technology or eDiscovery solutions is beneficial, it is not required. Domain-specific training will be provided.
What You'll Do- Support, maintain, and enhance a critical Legal Technology application.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and system integrations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Deploy and manage application releases within Microsoft Azure.
- Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable technology solutions.
- Participate in application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure application stability, security, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, application engineering, or enterprise application support.
- Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs and integrations.
- Experience with C# and .NET Core development.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization, database objects, and stored procedures.
- Experience supporting and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing production applications.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with eDiscovery platforms or Legal Technology solutions.
- Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications.
- Experience with cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
- Experience with Apigee or API management platforms.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance.
- Understanding of application architecture, scalability, and cloud-native development practices.
