Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Finance Solution Architect to lead solution architecture, functional support, and continuous improvement for Oracle Financials applications within our Managed Services division.
This role will provide architectural oversight across Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and Oracle E-Business Suite, with a focus on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Subledger Accounting, and Tax. The Architect will partner with clients, service delivery managers, and functional and technical teams to maintain stable operations, resolve complex issues, and deliver enhancements aligned with business priorities and service commitments.
The ideal candidate combines deep financial process expertise, an understanding of SCM integration, strong communication and mentorship skills, and experience leading teams in an application support environment. This role will also contribute to the practice’s intellectual property through reusable solutions, tools, and delivery assets.
Required Skills:
- 12+ years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, including at least 8 years focused on Oracle Financials.
- Demonstrated experience as a Finance Solution Architect or Functional Lead, with responsibility for cross-module solution design.
- Strong functional expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Subledger Accounting, and Tax.
- In-depth understanding of R2R, P2P, and O2C processes, including period-end close, subledger-to-ledger reconciliation, intercompany accounting, multi-currency processing, and financial controls.
- Experience leading application support or managed services engagements, including incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Experience delivering Oracle implementations, enhancements, and transitions into production support.
- Strong understanding of Oracle configurations, integration dependencies, data flows, and reporting capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead complex troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend sustainable solutions.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Excellent client engagement, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Demonstrated mentorship and coaching skills, with experience developing consultants and building team capabilities.
- Proven ability to create reusable assets, share knowledge, and contribute to practice development and intellectual property growth.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple client environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with five or more end-to-end Oracle E-Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.
- Experience supporting both Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials and Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
- Good to have: Oracle Fusion Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) experience, particularly Project Financial Management, including Project Costing, Project Billing, project accounting, and integration with General Ledger, Payables, and Receivables. PPM is an optional skill and is not required for this role.
- Technical understanding of SQL, BI Publisher, OTBI, Financial Reporting Studio, Smart View, and integration tools.
- Experience assessing Oracle quarterly updates and coordinating regression testing.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management platforms.
- Relevant Oracle Cloud certifications and/or ITIL certification.
- Experience developing practice methodologies, reusable accelerators, or automation solutions for managed services.
