Our client is seeking a C++ Application Developer in Kennesaw, GA
Role Description
Design and develop application-level C++ software (C++17/20 preferred)
Write clean, testable, modern C++ code with unit testing and CI/CD best practices
Build performant backend components, services, APIs, and processing engines
Implement software architecture patterns with scalability and maintainability in mind
Collaborate closely with UI/UX, DevOps, QA, and business analysts
Participate in client facing discussions: requirements, solution design, delivery planning
Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and reliability
Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and architectural improvements
Work onsite 4 days/week for collaboration with clients and engineering teams
Skills & Requirements
Strong professional experience in C++ application development (not embedded)
Solid understanding of modern C++ (C++14/17/20), STL, OOP, and design patterns
Experience building backend services, multi-threaded applications, or distributed systems
Familiarity with REST APIs, client/server architectures, or service-oriented systems
Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
Strong communication skills with prior consulting or client facing exposure preferred
Agile/Scrum experience
Embedded/device level programmers
Firmware/driver development backgrounds
Legacy C++ developers who've worked on the same product for 10+ years
Candidates lacking customer facing project experience
Experience integrating C++ with other application layers (e.g., Python, web services)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), or automated testing
Knowledge of performance tuning, security best practices, and scalable architecture
Modern C++ (application layer, not hardware)
Backend services, APIs, integrations
Data processing, performance optimization
Scalability, reliability, and production system ownership
