Client is seeking an experienced HPE NonStop (Tandem) Systems Engineer that will provide operational support for mission critical, high availability HPE-NonStop (Tandem) compute platform. This is a highly converged, fault-tolerant system on which we host our critical ATM and card processing system, Base24. The individual will support the full technology stack for this platform, including operating system, data stores, utilities, capacity, monitoring, automation, deployments, replication, etc. This role is responsible for the administration, stability, performance, and continuous improvement of HPE NonStop (Tandem) platforms for core business operations. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, application, and security teams.
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's in computer science, information systems or other related field
5+ years of hands on experience supporting HPE NonStop systems. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Experience with NonStop capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of programming and systems analysis and related applications.
Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.
Ability to lead a group.
Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods.
